Modular Structure
DRAGON modular construction means they can be delivered fast, are easy to transport, and can be commissioned quickly at
dredging sites. One main pontoon houses the cutter ladder, ladder actuator rams or winches, control cabin, dredge pump, diesel
engines, auxiliary power units, discharge line, and the spuds, including their actuator rams. Two side pontoons provide the vessel
with buoyancy and storage space. They are connected to the main pontoon with a quick connection-disconnection system. All the
parts are of a size which allows the dredgers to be easily transported by road, rail or sea.
Standardization
During designing, DRAGON team always try to make dredgers standardized which can be easily adapted to customers' requirements,
resulting in fit-for-purpose vessels with minimal delivery times and costs. For example, the same basic design is able to carry a variety
of different cutting tools, dredge pumps, and electric or hydraulic winches. It can also be adapted to work at different dredging depths.
